Bonsai Maple

Recently acquired this Japanese Maple bonsai tree from a friend. It has been nicely manicured and is displayed in a large traditional Japanese white and blue vase. It’s a beautiful tree.

Formally named the Seto Inland Sea, the setonaikai is the body of water separating Honshū, Shikoku, and Kyūshū, three of the main islands of Japan. It serves as an international waterway, connecting the Pacific Ocean to the Sea of Japan.

This is a picture I shot of a small portion of the Inland Sea of Japan from Shiraishi-jima in Okayama during Golden Week using my iPhone and the Pano iPhone app.

When spring comes flowers bloom. Some find the most unusual places to pop up. This dandelion plant found a crack in the side of a cement wall. I call this photo Hope.

The original Kansai Classifieds has been revamped! The site now exists on its own domain and can be accessed by visiting KansaiClassifieds.com.

Users can post ads with up to 4 photos for free. For more than 4 photos, they will soon offer a paid service, mostly for those who wish to save time and energy posting a lot of images to Sayonara ads. Of course, it will be cheap, most likely around 300 yen per Sayonara ad. Beautiful Bento

My student brought this bento to class the other day. It was one of the most beautiful bentos I have ever seen.

This bento looks like a very expensive one, but it was only 1100 yen. I’ve seen bentos like this one that have cost way more money.

It made me so hungry looking at it.

Tabasco Japanese Rice Crackers

I bought these because they looked unusual with the Louisiana Tabasco sauce on the package. But these were delicious. My wife and kids loved them!

Love the iPhone Camera

I love the handiness of the iPhone. It is much easier to use in typing out messages, and even more reason to have one, it has many other features that other phones don’t.

Among one of those added bonuses to having an iPhone over any other keitai cellular phone, the iPhone takes very sharp pictures. Not that it takes the best pictures in the world, but because users can download apps that extend the iPhone camera and make it better, I highly recommend buying an iPhone. It is a must have compared to other phone cameras.

Here are a few photos I took using the iPhone with a free filter app I downloaded.

Red Momiji

Anyone who knows anything about Japan knows how beloved the momiji trees are during autumn. Japanese red maples are the highlight of autumn and the talk of the town.

Wow! What an ordeal!

If you have a website with lots of photos, make sure you have a good photo album script. I do and I still had to spend a lot of time making sure I organized things. But it wasn’t caused by the script. It worked like a charm!

NextGen Gallery is the best plugin for WordPress websites. I highly recommend it.

So those of you visiting this site to see photos, you can now do so and not get an album pointing to the wrong photos. Enjoy!
